  • Manage and address minor repairs, ensuring the preschool locations are in good working order.
  • Assist with facility improvements and building projects, especially those requiring a construction background.
  • Collaborate with management to schedule maintenance and repairs that may affect the school day, ensuring minimal disruption.
  • Help maintain safety standards in all areas of the preschool facilities.
  • Occasionally work on weekends or evenings for tasks that cannot be completed while children are in the building (e.g., painting, noisy repairs).
  • Travel to other locations within the Jacksonville area and occasionally to Orlando if needed.
  • Ensure the building is fully stocked with necessary tools and supplies. May need to make some purchases at stores like Home Depot or Lowe's.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in construction or building maintenance (at least 2-3 years preferred).
  • Experience in assembling and installing furniture, especially in a commercial or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations as needed.
  • Flexibility to work after hours (evenings or weekends) when necessary.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks (e.g., moving equipment, lifting supplies).

Benefits:

  • Health Insurance
  • Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
  • Pay: $40,000 per year
  • Paid Time Off (PTO)
