As the Preschool Education Coordinator/Teacher for two-year-olds, you'll play a dual role, serving as the lead teacher in the classroom while also coordinating the educational program for our young learners. You'll oversee curriculum development, provide support to the teaching team, engage parents, and assist with program administration.

Responsibilities:

Teaching and Instruction:

Lead engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for two-year-olds.

Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that supports children's growth and development.

Curriculum Coordination:

Develop and align curriculum plans and activities with program goals and standards.

Collaborate with colleagues to review and refine curriculum materials based on ongoing assessment and feedback.

Staff Support and Development:

Provide mentorship and support to teaching team members, including regular observations and feedback sessions.

Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment focused on delivering high-quality education.

Parent Engagement:

Establish positive relationships with parents through regular communication, meetings, and family engagement events.

Address parent questions and concerns, and collaborate with parents to support their child's learning and development.

Program Administration:

Assist with day-to-day program operations, including scheduling, enrollment, and record-keeping.

Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and program policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.

New York State certification in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in preschool education, with leadership experience preferred.

Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
